Shabby Chic Decorating - Using your Senses




I am a tactile junkie!  I touch and feel everything I can. The reason I am telling you this is because it is one of the options when you decorate, especially in a monochromatic color scheme, to bring in interest and depth without bringing in accent colors. I love texture and everything I bring into my home has it, from fabrics to carpeting. Matelasse, chenille, corduroy, candlewick and brocades are some of my favorites. If you are having a hard time picking an accent color for your rooms try your main color with texture. It may be just what you were looking for.
