Shabby Chic Color Trends



I have just come back from a seminar on upcoming color trends for 2008 through 2010 and I am so excited because according to experts white will remain a best seller but will be softening into creams and off whites by 2010. Pinks will be changing from the warm vintage pinks that are in now to cool and clean, and from sultry to sweet. Vibrant pinks and pastels to neon pink! So if you like the pinks that are out now load up because they will be harder to find by 2009. 60's retro is back and will be big by 2009. Greens will be cooling down and blues will be more saturated.  Browns will be going beige and sand instead of taupe. These color trends are predicted not only for home decor but for fashion as well. So whites and pinks will still be in just changing. Home decor will definitely be going more mod over the next few years. But we all know that no matter what is going on out there in design we will be able to come home to our shabby chic, cozy, comfy homes and take a rest from the color assault on our senses from the outside world. My home has been shabby chic and white for 10 years now and I never get tired of it.
