Shabby Chic Decorating - Room Redesign
Redesigning a room gives you the chance to play with color combinations, painting effects and finishes. A change can transform any room, even the smallest change may be all that is needed to revitalize a room. This is a great example of a chic dining room with the emphasis on CHIC. I love the fresh painted white vintage pieces without the flaky, chippy paint, it gives this room a younger more sophisticated look., but would look just as beautiful if you like the worn paint look..

Love that painted white floor! My kitchen is blue and white (I've posted pix on my blog)with hardwoods and I wonder how much of a "task" it would be to paint them white.........

Hello Karen, It does take some work to paint hardwood floors. They have to be sanded, cleaned, primed with one or two coats of really good primer. Then your paint ... I would use 2 or three coats and finished with a few coats of polyurethane. You can use a roller but it is very time consuming.
