Shabby Chic Decorating - Dining Rooms
It has been raining here for a few days so I have been spending plenty of time looking at what I have and rearranging a little here and there. I needed a little inspiration and I thought maybe some of you could use some Monday decorating inspiration....

I have had emails from a few of you regarding decorating a mantle so I will try to bring in pics to help you with that. I personally don't like too much on a mantle but I really love this one and may try to do something like it for spring. I really love the look of layered mirrors and another great place for this look would be the bathroom. You could really give an outdated bathroom a fabulous new look that would be perfect for any shabby chic home by using this idea!

This armoire was repurposed into a wet bar for a dining area.
It could also be turned into a wine bar, linen or guest closet full of everything your guests would need during their visit.
I love this intimate dining area and you have probably noticed I love parson chairs paired
with vintage and glass tables. They can give a dining room
a more modern and up to date look.

This is a pretty modern kitchen that retains its vintage feel without sacrificing function, I would probably change the light fixture to a sleeker vintage style pendant light fixture because I am not crazy about fabric shades in a kitchen, I like everything easy to clean.
Photographs are from Country Living, BHG.com, Cottage Living
and sent in by some of you.
Thank you

Love it all...especially the mantle. Mine are always overflowing though, I just can not make myself edit.
